Number of approved training centres has been increased by HETAS(06/03/2012)
Three training providers have been added to the list of HETAS approved training centres around the UK. Sevenoaks Energy Centre offers all HETAS courses, whilst the National Association of Chimney Sweeps is running the H001, H002 and H003 courses. Illegal DIY job to install a woodburning stove ends up in flames(20/09/2010)
A bungalow was gutted and the owner left with a massive fine after an illegal DIY job to install a woodburning stove. Loughborough Magistrates Court ordered homeowner Paul Taylor to pay £4,323 in fines and costs after he admitted breaching building regulations relating to the installation.
