Health and Safety Executive brings rogue gas fitters to justice(18/11/2009)
HSE successfully prosecuted 28 people for breaching gas legislation in 2008/09, covering 66 separate offences. 173 enforcement notices were also served during this period. (see notes to editors). HSE takes legal action against landlords who disregard gas safety(11/03/2009)
The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) is warning tenants and landlords about potentially unsafe gas installations in tenanted properties. This warning follows the prosecution of Shahid Hussain, who manages a family business that owns and rents-out a number of properties in Burton-on-Trent.
