Ayres Heating stars in Ecodan low carbon heating system videos
(21/08/2008)
Amesbury-based plumber Jonathan Ayres is set to become a film star after appearing on camera for promotional and training videos for Ecodan® the low carbon heating system from Mitsubishi Electric.
The filming took place at a new eight-property development at Shrewton near Salisbury and saw Jonathan, Managing Director of Ayres Heating & Plumbing being interviewed alongside the new way of heating a home. Ecodan, which Ayres Heating fitted to the outside of each individual property at the development, is an air source heat pump that harvests natural heat energy in the air and converts it into domestic hot water or central heating.
“I was happy to do the filming as I think these heat pump systems are a great way of reducing both household bills and carbon emissions,” explained Jonathan. “They are straightforward to install and are a lot less to buy than ground source heat pump systems.”
Ayres Heating, which operates throughout the South West, has experience on a wide range of heating systems including Oil, Gas, LPG, Solar and Solid Fuels.
“I think these heat pump systems are the way of the future because they are so much more energy efficient than gas,” added Jonathan. “They do cost a little more than a modern gas boiler to install but you can soon recoup the cost in energy savings and with the price of fuel rising steadily they really are now a viable and attractive option.”
