Mitsubishi Electric helps businesses and households reduce energy consumption and cut heating bills
(14/10/2008)
Mitsubishi Electric highlighted the ways in which we can all save energy in our built environment on its stand at the Energy Solutions Expo, where it demonstrated its range of air source and ground source heating products and its PWFY water heating unit. All of the products can help businesses and households reduce energy consumption and cut bills.
A year-long trial of Mitsubishi Electric's WR2 ground source heat pump system has shown that it is over 500% more efficient at heating a building than a commercial boiler and more than 300% better than heating and cooling than a typical chiller/boiler combination.
The company's EcodanŽ air source heat pump is now available in a format to suit almost any house in the UK and can deliver reliable heating and hot water throughout the year whilst cutting bills by over 30% and CO2 emissions in half compared to a modern gas boiler.
For commercial properties with air conditioning, the PWFY unit taps into unused energy within the system to offer free hot water, thereby removing the need for separate boilers and water heaters and helping cut annual fuel bills.
