HRM Boilers increases efficiency of Wallstar and X-ternal oil fired boilers

HRM Boilers has announced that it has developed increased efficiency across its Wallstar through-the-wall and X-ternal boiler range in accordance with the Seasonal Efficiency of Domestic Boilers (SEDBUK) bands.

The Wallstar condensing 12/14, 15/19, 20/24 and X-ternal 12/14 and 15/19 models are now all rated as SEDBUK Band A efficiency boilers with independent tests showing a nett efficiency across both ranges of 96%. This makes these two HRM models among the most energy efficient oil fired boilers available in the UK.

The efficiency improvements to Wallstar and X-ternal have been achieved without any change to the external dimensions of both models, enabling them to be used as direct replacements for previous models dating as far back as 1990.

The Wallstar and X-ternal boilers owe their compact size to the unique design of the twin chamber single unit heat exchanger. Unlike some oil fired boiler manufacturers, who have relied upon adding a secondary heat exchanger in order to deliver condensing capability, this HRM developed solution has ensured that the highest possible efficiency has been achieved without having to sacrifice on size, a key requirement in smaller homes and units.

All Wallstar and X-ternal A rated boilers are fitted with Bentone burners and are supplied with a remote acting fire valve as standard. Everything required for successful installation is included with the boilers, even down to the condensate trap. A single pipe oil supply simplifies installation even further and results in safer operation during the life of the boiler.

All HRM boilers are hand built at the Company’s Norfolk factory and test fired before despatch. Heat exchangers are guaranteed for 5 years and all other components for 2 years.
