Multi boiler combines a condensing combination boiler and an 80 litre unvented hot water storage tank in one unit

Atmos Heating Systems offers the ideal choice for properties with high hot water demand with its Multi boiler. Boasting an exceptionally high efficiency in its class of 90.3%, the Multi combines a condensing combination boiler and an 80 litre unvented hot water storage tank in one unit, instead of the traditional boiler and separate tank.
The Multi therefore benefits from all the advantages of both stored and instantaneous hot water systems without their drawbacks, while saving on space and pipework. For the house builder the extra benefits are faster installation, lower labour costs, and with the special discounted offer now available from Atmos, a considerably lower material cost. On top of that, the Multi offers reduced CO2 emissions compared with separate boiler and tank, and consequently a lower DER (dwelling emission rate in SAP).
Ideal for homes with more than one bathroom, the Multi 24/80+ has a peak output of 22 kW, with a flow rate of up to 25-litres a minute, thus providing more than double the hot water available from an instantaneous combi boiler. Fast heat recovery means that a generous supply of mains pressure hot water is produced from a smaller hot water tank. The sealed system eliminates the need for roof storage tanks and their associated problems. Like a traditional system, hot water flows immediately when the tap is opened, thus saving water. Unlike, most storage systems however, the water is at mains pressure which means that showers are powerful without the need for expensive pumps.
“Installers can be assured that they are providing their customers with reliable low carbon heating, not only does the Multi boiler offer abundant hot water it is also a very reliable boiler with over 60,000 units sold since its launch in 1994. By placing a high efficiency combination boiler within a hot water cylinder it ensures any heat losses from the boiler are transferred to heat the water and as a result the Multi can save homes up to 50% in fuel costs a year,” explains John Thomason, general manager at Atmos Heating Systems.
Designed to be installed in place of a traditional boiler and cylinder system the Multi can be fitted for example in an airing cupboard or under stair space. Meanwhile, the fan-assisted flue system can be run up to 32m so siting the boiler is easy. This flexibility frees up kitchen or utility space for the customer.
Whisper quiet in operation other benefits include a separate connection for a towel rail circuit while the Multi boiler is also suitable for underfloor heating. With low NOx, WRAS approval and 100% CFC recyclable CFC free construction, the Multi boiler is an attractive choice for environmental consumers. Boasting a five year heat exchanger warranty, the Multi boiler also provides customers with a reliable low carbon heating solution. Plus, for the ultimate in high efficiency and low carbon heating, the hot water store can also be connected to the Atmos MonoSolar hot water system.
