Hoval showcases low carbon heat sources at the Facilities Show
(13/05/2010)
At The Facilities Show, Hoval featured the company’s range of low carbon heat sources, including biomass boilers, heat pumps and solar heating – along with its high efficiency gas and oil boilers.
A highlight of the stand will be the company’s new CF ceramic filter. Capable of removing up to 96% of 10 and 2.5 micron diameter particulate emissions (PM10 and PM2.5), the CF addresses concerns in some urban areas about particulate emissions from biomass boilers, while exceeding the requirements of air quality regulations due to be introduced in 2010.
The Hoval CF can be fitted to any make of biomass boiler, including retrofit projects where space is available and, crucially, removes much smaller particles than can be removed with the cyclones that are usually used for this purpose. The CF also provides a low maintenance solution, as the ceramic filters are self-cleaning and particulate waste is collected in the unit for easy disposal.
Visitors to the stand were also able to find out more about the company’s BioLyt and STU wood pellet and Forester wood chip boilers, as well as how these can be optimally integrated with other low carbon technologies and conventional heat sources to achieve optimum efficiency.
Staff were also be on hand to discuss the company’s expertise in delivering turnkey management of biomass projects – including securing local supplies of biomass fuels.
