Project Manager Owen Roberts and his wife Vicky have been announced as the winners of Thermoboard’s three word combination competition, and will soon see their creative efforts appear across trade media as part of the UFH brand’s current advertising campaign.

Their entry, “Ubiquitous Friendly Happiness”, was voted for by hundreds of visitors in a competition which asked for three words describing ‘What UFH means to you’. It will now be used within Thermoboard’s existing campaign which currently features UFH-themed phrases such as “Unusual Feet Heaters” and “Uninviting Frosty House”.

As overall winners, Owen and teacher Vicky have also earned themselves £2,000 of Thermoboard UFH products which the couple plan to utilise in a self-build project they are undertaking at a site in Yorkletts, near Whitstable, Kent.

Speaking of their win, Owen stated: “We are currently in the midst of building our dream 4 bed detatched home, which with our third baby on the way, will better suit our ever-growing family. We had always hoped to furnish it with UFH to maintain the high-specification feel throughout, so winning this competition will really help us to achieve what we wanted for our new home.

“I work in construction, but this is the first self-build I have undertaken and the service Thermoboard has given us since our win has been great. The in-depth expertise they have offered in designing the UFH system specifically to suit the house has made us feel that we are very much in safe hands.”

Michelle Fleming, Wavin Category Manager for Surface Heating & Cooling commented: “Clearly our advertising campaign has struck a chord with those who have visited our website and voted for this as the winning combination.
“Mr and Mrs Robert’s entry perfectly complements our already successful campaign whilst encapsulating the feeling of ease and contentment that we hope our UFH products provide. They are very deserving winners and we wish them the best of luck with the ongoing construction, plus, rather like their winning phrase, every happiness in their new home.”
