Pegler Yorkshire supplies Tectite Advance fittings for Berlin Senate's heating system renovation

The complete renovation of the heating system of The Berlin Senate, carried out by Berlin contractor Dieter Melchert KG, necessitated the sourcing of quality push fittings and Pegler Yorkshire is delighted to have the opportunity to supply to a prestigious contract.

Pegler Yorkshire has supplied 4000 fittings from its Tectite Advance range in each of the two initial phases. Phase 3 is due to start in autumn 2010. Tectite Advance is a carbon steel push-fit joining system which is for use on closed circuit heating, chilled water applications and provides guaranteed electrical continuity. It is designed to allow speedy and easy fitting in seconds creating a perfect joint resulting in the product being popular with specifiers, contractors and installers.

“Unlike in the UK, Tectite has mainly been used in Germany for the last decade for renovation and smaller refurbishment situations but not significantly in large mechanical engineering projects” commented Koert Munnik, Pegler Yorkshire Business Development Director. “Our sister company within the Aalberts Group, Seppelfricke, was already working with the innovative contractor who was interested in sourcing new products and especially those that enable his teams to work quicker without the need for special tools. An initial meeting allowed us to demonstrate how proficient our system is and pleasingly we were awarded the contract.”

Tectite Advance forms part of the Tectite Brand from Pegler Yorkshire which is its Push –fit joining system.
