CIPHE expreses concern about the long waiting lists for Warm Front funded boiler replacements

Latest official details of the waiting times across the country were published in the 2009 Warm Front Annual Report. At that time, the average waiting time for heating related work across the country was 66 days with households in London having to wait the longest at 80 days. Health and Safety Executive brings rogue gas fitters to justice

HSE successfully prosecuted 28 people for breaching gas legislation in 2008/09, covering 66 separate offences. 173 enforcement notices were also served during this period. (see notes to editors). The CORGI gas registration scheme was replaced by the Gas Safe Register in England, Scotland, Wales and the Isle of Man on April 1.
