Okofen wood pellet boilers installed in new schools in Powys County

Powys County Council is meeting the stringent low-carbon standards now expected of new public buildings by using biomass heating systems within a number of new schools. To date the council has installed a number of Ökofen wood pellet boilers supplied by Organic Energy with more planned. One such installation is Llanrhaeadr YM Mochnant Primary School where a new 850m2 school replaces the old Victorian building and provides primary education for approximately 70 children.
